For the 12th year of annual EO Day celebrations, The Alan Nuttall Partnership convenes at its Hinckley and Dudley headquarters to celebrate its superpower as an employee-owned company.
Joining the biggest celebration of employee ownership
On Friday 21st June, employee-owners of The Alan Nuttall Partnership came together at the Partnership’s two brand headquarters in Hinckley and Dudley to celebrate EO Day 2024.
As a nationwide event set up by the Employee Ownership Association, EO Day brings together thousands of employee-owned businesses from across the UK and from a wide variety of sectors in recognising a thriving community where employees have both a say and a stake in the company for which they work.
The Alan Nuttall Partnership comprises two industry-pioneering employee-owned brands: Flexeserve, the world-leading hot-holding manufacturer and hot food-to-go specialist, and Nuttall, retail display and interior experts supporting top retail and supermarket chains.
As ‘One Partnership, Two Brands’, The Alan Nuttall Partnership showcased the incredible benefits of employee ownership during its EO Day 2024 celebrations while also welcoming the newest Partners (employees) of this strongly growing company.
Partners also gained an exclusive insight into their first-ever Partner Engagement Survey, Gallup’s Q12. And, of course, EO Day would not be complete without The Alan Nuttall Partnership’s sweetest takeaway: the infamous cupcakes!
Embracing this year’s theme of #ProudlyEO
Since its launch twelve years ago, EO Day has become a sector-wide celebration, bringing together thousands of employee-owners across the UK, and highlighting the wide-ranging benefits of EO. This year’s theme, #ProudlyEO, provided an excellent opportunity to recognise the impact employee ownership has on employees, businesses, the wider economy, communities and the environment.
James de le Vingne, Chief Executive of the EOA, said, ”By making as much noise as possible, we can help showcase the impact of employee ownership and shine a light on businesses that are #ProudlyEO.”
At The Alan Nuttall Partnership celebrations, a presentation emphasised how the company is employee-owned, where equal Partners are stronger together, where all Partners have a voice and where each Partner is rewarded for what is achieved.
The presentation also recognised some key benefits of being an Employee Ownership Trust, including being more profitable, efficient and resilient. Moreover, people in EO businesses are found to be happier, more productive and better rewarded.
The Alan Nuttall Partnership embodies this EO value of shared success, evidenced by the £1.6 million paid in tax-free Partnership dividends to all Partners, equally, over the last four years. Research also shows that employee owners are more committed when they have a meaningful stake and say. This is another trait that is evident in the Partnership, demonstrated by its track record in retaining skills and experience, where over 40% of Partners have been with the company for a decade or more.
Recognising the growth of The Alan Nuttall Partnership
At The Alan Nuttall EO Day 2024 event, Partners celebrated the company’s significant growth over the last twelve months, and the regional recognition it has received. In the Top 200 Fastest-Growing Companies in the East Midlands list, published by Grant Thornton, The Alan Nuttall Partnership accelerated its position from 90th to 39th.
Darren Emms, Finance Director of the Partnership, commented, “This new ranking is a testament to the collective contributions of all Partners and demonstrates the strength of our Partnership.”
With this growth came the addition of new Partners across both brands, and at EO Day, these individuals were officially welcomed.
A satisfyingly successful EO Day 2024
The Alan Nuttall Partnership was extremely pleased with how EO Day was received.
Matt Hornblower, CEO of Nuttall, commented: “The day was a huge success! The presentation highlighted our commitment to employee ownership, and I think all Partners went away feeling that they can really make a difference while enjoying the benefits of being part of an EO business.”
Jamie Joyce, Global CEO of Flexeserve, added: “EO Day also gives us the opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate the legacy created by our visionary Founder, the late Alan Nuttall.
“By creating the Partnership as an employee-owned company, the business culture he crafted for us is our greatest strength and a fundamental source of our success. This continues to live on through the support and enthusiasm for the business of Jacqueline Nuttall, Alan’s wife and our co-Founder.”
As ‘One Partnership. Two brands,’ both Flexeserve and Nuttall have gone from strength to strength this year as an EO business, working together to deliver innovation in their sector and drive exceptional standards in quality and service.
Jamie concluded, “At The Alan Nuttall Partnership, we seek to exemplify EO values in everything we do. It’s a Partnership where all employees’ voices are heard and valued, and that is a huge contributor to our success.”
